Terrible. The USB keyboard remote is useless in most apps too.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have a 3rd party IPTV app that I need to use and this device refuses to install anything other than basic stuff from the PlayStore, even in developer mode with everything turned off.Other than that, just during the use of the interface it regularly just hangs for no reason. The USB keyboard is pretty useless. You can’t use it when you’re trying to search something in a web browser on in the PlayStore, so what good is it?It doesn’t pick up voice commands either from the remote. One star. Definitely would NOT recommend. Back it goes.

IR is virtually useless
5 programmable buttons is not enough. Backlight flickers lot and annoys me but not a huge problem. 5 colored buttons at the bottom of the remote, that’s all you can program for with ir. Would be great if you could atleast program the channel buttons and volume buttons. Fire tv and Google tv don’t even have audio control as an option… All buttons should work like the power button where they default to the USB transmitter but can be reprogrammed to used with IR and the learning feature. Which btw the learning feature works great, but is instantly rendered virtually useless by the lack of ability to program any real buttons om the remote except a powr button. Also the first time they shipped my remote they didn’t seal the package and I received an empty envelope in the mail with an unused adhesive strip. Remote got lost somewhere along the way. Amazon took care of me after having to explain the situation several times over the phone.

I own an android media box and it already has a very good remote but wanted another remote with a keyboard that also backlit for night time.Positives:- Nice size/shape and comfortable to hold.- Keys are not too clicky when pressing buttons but still feel solid and firm unlike other remotes i’ve had.- Nice and accurate when in use.- What i like about air mouse remotes is when needing to use the on screen mouse rather than hold down arrow keys on traditional remotes with air mouse style remotes you can just aim it wherever you want with no button pressing and waiting around. (think of a wii remote)- Keyboard on back in addition to the light was important to me, having a keyboard makes it so much easier rather than using on screen keyboard. Saves so much time.Negatives:- When i press the button to turn on backlight it stays on about 3 seconds then goes off- When turning remote from one side to the other side, the other side goes out to save battery, problem is if like me you view you’re remote from an angle and not straight down you will find the backlight just keeps going off. The only way i could get it to stay on before it switched itself off was to keep it flat, it seems the sensor inside is too sensitive and just ruins the product.When i press the button for backlight i expect it to just stay on until i turn it off, but no it does that on it’s own and only after a few seconds and makes the backlight pointless. Why have a backlight button when it’s useless and turns itself off anyway? surely i should be able to turn on/off as and when and not have it go off at it’s own will, for me the whole point of the button is to press and for light to stay on until i press button again to turn off. For me this ruined the product and i am sending it back because of this as it was going off more than staying on.- Some of the keys do nothing on my android box yet same key on original remote works fine, plus as you can’t reprogram the keys except for the 4 colour buttons and the power button makes some of the buttons on the remote redundant.- Product also looked like a previously used item as it was clearly opened previously you only had to look at the box where you open it to see if clearly had previously been opened by the state of it.Conclusion:I really was looking forward to this air mouse but with a backlight that does not stay on, why bother have a button if it just goes off on it’s own accord and when in use? makes the backlight pointless and this for me ruined the product and made it no better than a non backlit air mouse. For the reasons outlined above i cannot recommend this mouse and would recommend looking elsewhere.
