The Bitkey looks and feels premium right out of the box. The black graphite finish has a nice texture and weight that gives it a secure, high-end feel. Setup was simple through the app and the experience feels smooth and polished overall.I liked it so much that I actually designed and 3D-printed a custom protective case for it (shown in my photo). The device fits perfectly inside and the combination looks amazing on my desk. It’s clear the team behind Bitkey put a lot of thought into both design and usability, definitely one of the best-looking and easiest wallets I’ve owned.Highly recommend if you want a secure Bitcoin hardware wallet that also feels like a piece of art.

Simple to set up, easy to use – highly recommend
I’ve been holding bitcoin for years and have always hesitated when it comes to self custody because it seems hard, complex, and I’m worried I’d mess it up. That’s why I was interested in Bitkey.It’s made by Block, which produces excellent quality products like Square and Cash App — and it recently crossed my socials that they were awarded Time’s innovation of the year, so I thought I’d try it out.Man was it simple. Took me no more than 5 minutes to set up the Bitkey and create an account in the app. I then connected my Cash App account and transferred my Bitcoin. Plus it’s beautiful and hefty as a product.I look forward to setting up trusted contacts to help with recovery and eventually inheritance. Overall it’s a great looking, easy to use, and intuitive product for anyone who has any bitcoin. Perfect gift too.

Love this device. I’m not trying to remember a bunch of phrases just to lose them, i probably won’t but its time consuming more secure go ahead and ask them people with Ledger cold wallets..horror stories. Biometrics is it. Its fast and secure your identity. This is great not only that you need two devices to communicate and they both recognize you in their database. Smartphones are great monitors and security defense tools if you ever need proof of your identity. As well apps work seamlessly in concert.Also what I like about this is its hooked up to cash app and a few other crypto apps or you can buy directly in your bitkey app. I use cashapp alot, if you use it right cashapp is great, and bitkey is apart of them. People be hating on Cashapp. TRuth be told they probably were scammers. If you treat your cashapp account with high regards and responsibility then having a bitkey is like a complimentary bonus.

Wallet without the complexity for anxious people.
I’ve been waiting for a wallet where it has better backup systems and doesn’t require too much brain power.1. This wallet doesn’t need you to remember 20-26 passcodes, you just need to scan up to 3 different fingers.2. You can add a trusted contact so that in case you do lose the hardware and your Phone, you can still recover your wallet.3. The wallet apparently works where you can get access so long as you have two out of the three keys. One is store digitally via BitKey servers, one is your Phone mobile key, and the third is this hardware you’re buying. Finally a dual key wallet much like bank vaults in the movies lol.4. The UX of the app is simple enough to use. I’ve seen walkthroughs of other wallets and the user experience makes setting up those wallets feel/look like torture.The setup is okay, but it does require a bit of practice. When scanning your fingerprints, make sure to keep tapping it until the hardware glows green. In order to use the hardware, you do need to download the BitKey app. Unfortunately, you can only store Bitcoin on this wallet which may be a downside if you want to try owning multiple currencies.Overall, this seems like a low effort setup with recovery options which many wallets out there lack. I went through multiple scenarios like what if I lost all my fingers or the fingers I scanned into the wallet, what happens if I got into a freak accident and both my hardware and Phone is destroyed (or stolen), what if I can’t remember my passcodes, or what if some random person got a hold of my passcodes? These scenarios always put me off in trying to own some digital currencies. I love new tech and just want some to keep so I’m really glad a wallet like this has finally appeared.
