Near Perfect G309 Replacement Mouse
Super light mouse. It has an LCD screen to tell you the DPI and battery charge level. The battery lasts forever. The scroll wheel is smooth and fast. It about the same size and feel of a Logitech G309 but lighter and way less expensive. The only real difference in your hand is the palm area being raised higher than the G309. That’s it. Everything else feels the same. For some reason Logitech mice have shot up in price so units like this are the way to go. You are getting the same quality in accuracy, speed and precision for way less money. The unit has 2 primary buttons; 2 side buttons and a scroll wheel click. Underneath you can find the button that will allow you to range the DPI from 1200 to 20000. 20k is FAST. My only gripe is this only goes as low as 1200 DPI. It’s 1200 is what I like for daily driving and games so for me it’s fine but if you want slower, you can’t do that through the hardware. The two side buttons are properly placed and I rarely if ever hit them accidently. I am used to the G309 and the buttons are in the same spot. It has a small recess for the USB RF Dongle as well which I love. It bothers me when they do not have a spot for it. Leaving a dongle in can break a USB port on a laptop in a bag if you are not careful. Being able to put it on the mouse itself is a plus. All of this and you also get 4 connection modes. You can connect to the USB RF Dongle; you can connect to the included USB-C to USB-A charge cable to use and charge at the same time and you can connect to 2 different Bluetooth devices. There is a button on the bottom to change between the Bluetooth connections. This is useful for anyone that wants to use the same mouse on more than one device without issues or having to reconnect each time. It is the little conveniences like this that make this a standout device. I have been using Aula mice going on 4 years now. I have tested many different models, and I have liked them since day one. This mouse is almost perfect. With a 1000Hz polling rate in 2.4Ghz mode and wired mode, there is no real compromise in speed between wired and wireless which is amazing in itself. I tested them and they in fact both hit 1000Hz although wired does it more often than RF, it’s not by much at all, a few Hz, which was very impressive. It means even in an online shooter you can remain competitive without a wire for the most part. Unfortunately, Bluetooth does not go beyond 100Hz but that’s fine for most other programs and apps outside of fast twitch gaming. The 400mAh battery seems small at first but in use is more than fine for me. You can use this for a few hours every day for about a month. Heavier use may require more frequent charging, but it won’t be by much. This mouse has been a pleasure to review and use. I am using it now and will continue to.My gripes are the taller palm area than the G309, the 400mAh battery (Most in this price range come with 500mAh or more) the extreme light weight and the inability to easily turn on the LCD screen or the ability to change what is displayed. These are really nitpicky gripes, and most people will not care, especially at this price point. For $25-30 depending on sale, you get a well-built, fast tracking, smooth moving and scrolling mouse that is lightweight for carry and travel and has a built-in battery that will last a long time in between charges. This is a G309 killer. You are getting all of the features and more for less than half the price and that alone is worth it, gripes aside.

Super lightweight
I use a similar mouse at work and have been very pleased with it. This mouse, in particular, is extremely lightweight and basically just feels like you’re pushing a plastic shell around, so if you like something that feels bit more substantial, this is not the mouse for you. There’s a really neat place for dongle storage in the bottom of the mouse, alleviating concerns about losing it. It works well both wired and wirelessly, and although I used to exclusively use wired mice for gaming, I’ve come around and am more willing to use something wireless now, especially since I play far less intense games than I used to.I have very small hands, so ideal hand placement for me leaves my fingers back a bit far for hitting both the 2 main buttons as well as the side buttons, but with a wrist rest to support my wrist, I’m able to grip the mouse properly and use my thumb the way it’s intended for hitting the side buttons, though I do tend to prefer mice that have a bit of an outward flare under the thumb to offer support when it’s just resting there, so that you don’t have to death grip your mouse to keep your hand in place. If you have hands that are longer than about 6″ from wrist to middle finger tip, you’ll probably find this mouse more comfortable than I do.Charging is fast, especially since the mouse has a relatively small battery, but it does seem to last quite a while. My work mouse has a 600 mAh battery and lasts for at least a month of constant use, so I expect that this will need charging every 2-3 weeks, if being used 8+ hours/day.For the price, this is a good value, but definitely better suited to my larger-handed husband than me.
