I suspect the bad reviews are ppl mounting it wrong.
I was hesitant bc of the sporadic bad reviews sprinkled in here. There is a very specific step when mounting I suspect folks are missing that involves having to twist the base. Just read the instructions. You can’t just stick it to the wall. Mine works amazing and I absolutely love it. It’s really sturdy and hasn’t budged since placing it weeks ago. I have it in the shower on a wall opposite the shower head. My walls are textured porcelain tile. I personally recommend! It is maybe a bit pricey tho.

Recommend for MagSafe lovers 🙂
Was tired of the stickiness on the traditional mounts wearing off, so switched to this one! The suction is really strong, and I love being able to tighten the grip during installlation which was easy. The MagSafe magnet is really strong.

Terrible Design – Falls Off Immediately
I love PopSockets products and was super excited for this mount because it was exactly what we needed to see a countdown timer every morning. But for $19.99 on sale (and certainly not for $29.99), this is the worst product I’ve ever purchased from PopSockets.* Either the suction is terrible or the weight of PopSockets iPhone 14 Pro Max super slim case plus the phone is too heavy for the product. Literally, the normal weight of an iPhone – no accessories, etc.* We followed the mounting instructions exactly as outlined, and the cleaning/remounting instructions each time it fell off (even the 2 hour “drying” period).* The design to “turn to lock in place” is really poor. If you turn it too far, it pops back to the loose setting. If you use a gentle touch, you can feel when it tightens to a “stopping point”, but this has hardly any lasting strength to it.* It’s almost as if the weight distribution pulls too much on the top of the mount. Once the top loses grip, the whole thing goes.* Phone orientation doesn’t make a difference either – both vertical and horizontal cause the problem.* No matter what wall surface we tried, the whole mount falls completely off.* Normal semi-gloss paint* Specialty smooth surface paint* Bathroom fiberglass* Kitchen ceramic tile* Bathroom ceramic tile* Bathroom mirror* Exterior door with glass* Car window* Putting the bottom of the mount on a 1″ shelf bolted into the wall and suctioned to an acrylic surface

Works well, when it decides to work0
Looks beautiful and works well when it wants to work, but majority of the time, doesn’t not stick to the wall. I’ve had it on a mirror and tried multiple times to have it stick and will randomly fall with or without my phone. Unfortunately, it sticks better to the phone than the wall. Wouldn’t recommend.

Popsocket suction mount for magsafe
This didn’t work on my car dash. Works well on flat smooth surfaces.

Works great!
Works great, so far it has stayed attached to glass really well, even with my heavier phones (iPhone pro max with case). I like that it doesn’t look very obtrusive when a phone isn’t on it compared to other options.

Horrible product. Doesn’t work as advertised even with their own brand MagSafe cases. Followed all the instructions listed too. Absolutely nope.

It’s super sticky without the suction cup, and you don’t need to take off the pop grip to use it.

And you don’t need a pop socket to use it, but the popsocket fits snug inside the dippy bit. The strange washable sticky rubber sticks to most (clean) surfaces I’ve tried, including matte bathroom tile which is handy for the tub. Even after condensation! It’s a twisty system that creates a suction seal, and that is so ridiculously strong it can hold even my weight (don’t do that) and then to get off you reverse twist and thumb the tab.The instruction say put the pulley flap downward when affixing, but we found having it upward aids removal much easier. Removal is actually really difficult on mine but my partners blue one it’s much easier. This silly little gadget has been endlessly useful. Baking recipes while on kitchen units. Lyrics in the shower. Porn on the wall! What I would say is that owing to my red one being so insanely strong, I’m not sure how long it will last. As you can see by the photos, the sticky side is already coming away from the pulley side. Let’s find out together. 🌈
