Excellent VR set for cell phones.
This kind of VR has been around for quite a while now, but still amazes me. If you want the VR experience but cant afford the big, expensive, VR gaming set, this is what you want. I was surprised at how much material is still out there and new stuff is being made as well. I love the old 3d, but it was limited, and with this, you can watch in full color instead of through red and blue glasses. My favorite has always been the roller coaster rides because I used to go in the old IMAX style blow up domes with a 180 screen and always tried to remain standing as it feels so real. This little headgear set gives you all that and more in the convenience of your own home. What a value in this set as I find myself immersed in the experience. I haven’t tried any of the games yet, but i will. The controller connected to my phone’s bluetooth with no problem. It is a much better experience if you put headphones on for the sound instead of using the phone’s built in speakers. It is so easy to get lost in amazing fantasy, as well as reality, with this unit. The “goggles” are comfortable and has adjustment for the width, as well as diopter adjustments for those who wear glasses. Inexpensive, quality fun and exploration in 3D!

Snug Fit & Crisp Views, But Phone Weight Kills the Immersion – Gamer’s Gem or Bust?
I was initially excited about these VR glasses, but as non-gamers, we ended up feeling a bit let down—hence the 3 stars. That said, they’re a solid entry-level pick with some standout features that could shine for the right user.First off, comfort is a highlight: The adjustable straps mold perfectly to your head, distributing weight evenly for a snug, non-pinching fit. The lightweight frame feels great for 20-30 minute sessions, like watching a quick 3D clip without strap digs or forehead sweat. It’s a thoughtful design that prioritizes ease over bulk.Picture quality punches above its weight too—crisp, vibrant visuals that pull you into virtual worlds without distortion. Pair that with the included remote control, a game-changer for navigation: Its intuitive buttons let you pause, swipe, and adjust volumes effortlessly, making solo use way more user-friendly than clunky alternatives.Durability-wise, these hold their own; the plastic build is sturdy and scratch-resistant, surviving drops and daily tosses in a bag without a hitch. After a few weeks, no creaks or loose parts—it’s built to last for casual adventures. The catch? Our large iPhones (Pro Max XL models) tip the scales, making the whole setup front-heavy and fatiguing after 10 minutes. It’s not a design flaw per se, but a heads-up for heavy-phone owners: This tilts functionality toward gamers with lighter devices or dedicated VR setups. With limited 3D movie options out there, these shine brightest for gaming marathons. If that’s you, grab ’em—they’re affordable fun. For movie buffs like us? Look elsewhere for balanced weight.

    Excellent for beginners
I am brand new to the world of VR headsets and had no idea what I was doing when I ordered the set. However, I think I lucked out and chose the right one because I’ve had a really good experience so far. My understanding is that this is one of the universal headsets as opposed to one specifically for a certain device. That’s good because I didn’t know you were supposed to know what kind of device the headset was for. This one works with any kind of smartphone. You download the app that comes with it and there are games and things specifically designed to work with this headset on the app. I feel like the directions were pretty clear but I didn’t need them because of the teenagers that donated their time to assist me in understanding this technology. I learned a few important things that I will share with you. The first thing is that when you’re playing a virtual reality game on a headset like this you should not be near the stairs or anything sharp or anything that you can trip over. I would recommend being sure to close the phone holding compartment securely before shaking your head around violently looking for the monsters that may or may not be coming at you in the game. That’s a really good way to protect your phone in this endeavor. The product itself fits very securely and is highly adjustable. There were no problems with it falling off. It is comfortable to wear. It does look silly but that doesn’t matter because you can only see the world of VR and not the mirror. I like that it can fit a wide variety and type of phone in the compartment and that you’re able to use the adjusting dials to make the picture clear depending on the type and size of phone you have inserted into the compartment. I’m still learning as I’ve only had these for about a month but I think they’re a real kick and I would recommend anyone of any age to give them a go.

I would spend more money. Fine product, but like opting for pager instead of smartphone.
It works for what it is designed for, but keep your expectations in check. First off, you are looking at a flat screen —your phone— so even with the “3D”-ness of VR, you should be prepared to have limits on your perception. Compatible VR content is also limited —at least from what I saw from a simple search. I like that the eyes have an adjustable function, (which can’t make up for certain design choices in the content (software part), but does become a necessity for viewing said content without double vision).Overall, it works, and is of decent quality build. Within it’s category, it is a good product (so I am hesitant to rate it low), but I would 100% save for a second hand Quest instead of spending money on a device like this.I.e., it’s fine for what it is, but the experience this mode-of-VR can provide is nothing close to a true VR headset’s potential; Not in terms of experience, not in terms of content. I just can’t justify the cost when I consider this —it’s not much a fault of the product, but the experience-value is simply not there. It’s like using a pager when smartphones are available. There may be special cases, but for the most part, you’d go for the smart phone. That said, as a “pager” it isn’t half bad.
