Unbeatable, Older Design & Functionality.
The sound quality in these is unmatched. I had my last pair for over 5 years, and hadn’t really noticed that the sound had degraded a bit until I got the new pair. Holy cow, talk about high fidelity. Music of all genre’s sounds great in these, and settings are easily tweaked to pair with whatever you’re doing; gaming, jamming to tunes, watching a movie, or on a voice call.I play a lot of FPS games, and let me tell you, the bass ROCKS! I had to jump into a quick match right after I got these just so I could really enjoy how punchy the bass is while playing shooters. It really helps you feel immersed in the game. And of course, dtsX surround sound is unbeatable. No more getting ambushed! The last of the #35 series of Logitech headsets. Logitech’s new headsets are suffering in quality, but this older design is still chugging away. It’s super comfortable, and heavy duty. My last pair fell off my desk hundreds of times before the USB plug finally wore out.I love that you can color match with your other Logitech gear, and GHUB recognizes it immediately — no compatibility issues. It holds a pretty decent charge (About 9-10 hours in my experience). It also still works on the charger, I know some headsets don’t offer that. The only complaint I have is the leather earmuffs occasionally make my head a little sweaty. But those are easily replaced with fabric covers for a mere $15-20.

I’ve been using these for six years and keep replacing them with the same version.
I think I’m on my 3rd set of these in 6 years because of how good they sound (games, videos, music), and the mic quality for a headset mic is great. Control buttons are easy, but you do hit them from time to time by accident and have to open the control panel app to see what you hit. Connectivity is good and has a decent range with the USB adapter. I frequently wear them out in my backyard. One went bad (driver updates made the earlier G930 models not work well), which was replaced by Logitech for free. 2nd one I dropped hard, and it broke a little screw attaching the earpiece to the headset. For about 100$ you probably won’t find better quality, and for less, they usually just dont sound good or work well.

It got worse.
Update: 1 year later. Totally lost left ear audio. With no fix. Even attempted the “power button fix” Logitech was kind enough to send a replacement. That brand new replacement lasted 1 week until the mic lost the ability to un-mute. I now need to power cycle the headset to get my mic to work again. Every time. Oh and the software did not improve at all. It’s still pretty basic and not very useful. I would never recommend this headset after all the issues I’ve had.The software sucks. I’ve had multiple instances where the software confuses it and the volume dile stops working.. you need restart your computer to fix it.The software is pretty limited. You can’t set the buttons to do really basic stuff. Like go to a particular light pattern or just toggle the lights on and off instead both of those has to go through a cycle with multiple pushes.Audio quality is pretty good. But the mic input is awful and it’s quality hasn’t improved at all. I’ve seen $5 mics sound better. And the software cannot EQ it. Instead you have to use another program like audio banana to make the mic sound decent.Stand alone without the software it would be borderline usless. As out of the box you don’t get any feedback of your own voice. It sounds like a minimal problem but it makes a huge difference.. it’s weird and off-putting to speak and not hear your own voice clearly. But the software let’s you adjust that. The rgb looks cool I guess but it limits the run time a tun so you just turn that off. And they dont last crazy long with just audio. And it dosnt have a great battery indicator on the headphones themselves.. you got indivisually adressable LEDs in a row.. USE THAT TO GIVE YOU A BAR GRAPH. They could have easily doubled the battery capacity but they didn’t.The presets for supported games suck. Turn that junk off immediately. If you have a big head they arnt the most comfortable. I have them maxed out and it’s still just a little too tight it makes wearing glasses even less comfortable. It’s not a deal breaker for me but it’s not ideal. The range seems great. I can walk around a fairly large house and not loose connection. In total it dose what I need it to do fairly well but with how many generations this product has gone through I’m surprised it’s not any better than the model that came out like 8 years ago particularly in the mic quality.. take a voice recording of yourself and play it back. Then EQ it and do the the same. Or even compare it to a recording made with your phone.. it’s 2022. Recorded Audio doesn’t need to sound like an Xbox 360 mic anymore. And it’s particularly important now with all the remote stuff we do.
